Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend! It’s great to see the DeFi ecosystem start to take off, with Ethereum (ETH) ‘naturally’ rallying in conjunction - it’s like investing in the Internet / ecosystem in the early 90s. If you want to learn more, feel free to ping us / comment - that’s part of the reason for this community. We’re at an inflection point…
The Fed is devaluing the US Dollar (down 5 straight weeks) to “inflate” asset prices - most don’t realize that is what is going on. Your hard-earned money is worth less as the purchasing power of the USD gets destroyed, while prices for many input commodities (meat, lumber, etc.) are skyrocketing - it’s a classic stagflation scenario. The misaligned media will never tell you this - they are paid not to.
So there’s no growth, costs are going up, and your purchasing power (USD) is eroding. Where to invest? Think about gold / precious metals (move inversely with real rates), equities of companies with purchasing power, select commodities (where supply tight, demand rising), and pockets of real estate (move inversely with interest rates; but wary of economic backdrop). And as the Fed inevitably blows up this financial system, check out the entire cryptocurrency world (an alternative, better financial system) being built in parallel.
Fact-based, forward thinking communities like this are critical, and we are at a pivotal juncture in history - feel free to share with others who are looking for change and a better future:

“Invest in the future because that is where you are going to spend the rest of your life.” - Habeeb Akande
Translation: Many are very short-term focused - living in a notification economy with sensationalist media (COVID-19 headlines everyday…). But when you’re investing and/or allocating time, think about the future… do you think Jeff Bezos cared when people said no one would buy books online in 2000? Or even in 2012 (stock was at ~$180) when many called Amazon a scam? He focused on investing in the future, and it’s worked out pretty well so far (stock at ~$3000; nearly 17x in 8 years).
Recap: Want a simple recap of what is going on in Washington and at the Fed, in terms of "printing" money? Check this out.
Comment: Worth the quick listen and/or read. Lays out the Fed's printing of money in simple to understand terms. How can the US government continue to print fiat with no repercussions (hint: there are many, both short and long term; see above for one)? If a business consistently spends more cash than it earns, it eventually goes bankrupt - are ongoing $4 trillion stimulus packages sustainable?
Recap: Walks through the basics of an alternative financial system, based on programmable blockchain, in under 10 minutes. Included this useful explanation in the spirit of the above - the ecosystem is exploding....
Comment: All of this sounds complicated (a lot of the underlying tech is), but the use cases are simple. Imagine you didn't need to deal with a middle man when exchanging currency (costs 1%+ in fees) or selling/buying a home (costs 6%+ in fees) or sending money across borders (costs 3%+ in fees). That's what this (decentralized finance) generally is trying to accomplish - remove unnecessary, expensive middle men.
Recap: Twitter thread that lays out many example uses of GPT-3. Simplistically, GPT-3 is a next-gen machine learning / natural language processing model. If you give it some text, it will generate more.
Comment: 1.) GPT-3 is incredibly powerful, websites/apps, etc. displayed on this Twitter thread are amazing. 2.) We haveearly access to the GPT-3 beta; check out the Tesla writeup here (written entirely by a machine)
